Checking In

John and I arrived in Matagorda yesterday afternoon with the travel trailer. I didn't expect to be able to use the Internet while we are here, but the RV park just added a wi-fi service and it seems to be working well, so I thought I'd check in.

After breakfast this morning, John headed out in the kayak for a little fishing and I walked down to the beach for shell seeking. I brought the camera and found some wildflowers along the way.

Took lots of other pictures too, but I'll save some of those until later. Waiting for John to return for lunch, then we plan to explore the area together. Think I'll check out a few knitting blogs while I'm waiting.

  2. The flowers are beautiful! If you go deep sea fishing (given your proximity to the gulf) take pictures of the dolphons for me, I miss them! (Yes, I had to delete and repost because I mispelled sea).

  8. Wow, I went offline for a couple of weeks and I missed a lot of your activities! LOVE the Itty-Bitty hats, too - I have that book and you've inspired me to try some patterns with my most colorful baby yarns!

AND, I have tagged you to reveal "seven random things" -- enjoy!!! :-)

  9. I do like your perspective with the camera. It shows that there are other things than fish to see! Paul Jr. has me on a birding watch but I guess I will need a bigger lens to get any good shots..Tell john he has been tagged to reveal 7 random things in his TACKLE BOX!
